Nursery Helpers are needed every 4th Sunday of the month. Call the Church Secretary at 349-5666 to volunteer.
The Education Committee needs Sunday School Teachers for summer and fall services. We currently are seeking a first and second grade Sunday School teacher.
The music program would welcome additional members of the Handbell Choir, Children's Choir and Adult Choir.
Sign up to be a Greeter or an Usher.
Sign up to prepare meals for members who need assistance. Help is provided for people returning home from the hospital, for bereavement services and in other appropriate circumstances.
After two years of dedication, Chairs Cathy Laux and Debbie Goodman are hanging up their Gleaner Boxes and retiring from the Novi Ministers Emergency Food Bank. This important group serves the working poor of Novi, Wixom and New Hudson, and is housed here at Faith. Food is distributed every other Monday at church, and other responsibilities include meeting at church to accept community food donations. Call the church secretary at 349-5666 to find out more.
Serve lunch in a soup kitchen to homeless and needy people. Members of Faith Community help prepare and serve lunch at First Presbyterian Church on the 2nd, 3rd and 5th Wednesday of each month from 9:30 to Noon. The address of First Presbyterian Church is 2930 Woodward at Temple in Detroit. For more information call the Church secretary at 349-5666.
Join the Prime Timers, senior members of the Church who greatly enjoy each other's company. Mothers can join the Mom's Group, a social group of mothers with young children. Another social group, the Empty Nesters is for parents who no longer have children at home.
Building and Grounds
Much work needs to be done to maintain Faith Community's building and grounds. Springtime will bring opportunities to plant flowers and rid the landscape of unsightly weeds and other debris. There are also several projects inside and outside the church building that need attention. Call Gary McAleer to volunteer.
Join a committee. The list of committees, their charters and their chairpersons are listed on this website. Just pick a committee that interests you, and call the chairperson to join. This is a great way to learn more about Faith Community.
You are invited to participate in a Bible study of the Old Testament prophet Amos. Amos saw injustices, people being mistreated and unfair business practices, and God called him to speak out about these. With courage he spoke directly to the people, naming their injustice and demanding reform. What Amos had to say to his people also applies to our world today.
Two sessions will be held of each class to accommodate different schedules: mornings at 11:00 and evenings at 7:30. Classes begin Thursday, February 28 and run through Thursday, March 21. All classes will be held at the church. Please call the office to sign up or if you need childcare.
